In Memoriam

Our Vincentian friend Jean Dotterwick passed away the morning of Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from complications following surgery. As her obituary stated, Jean was loved by many and more importantly, she loved many.  Jean was genuine with everyone she met. She was kind, generous, and very much had the heart of a Vincentian. As an associate member of the Society, Jean volunteered at many events, served on project committees, and served as a reviewer for the annual conference audit.  Jean’s Vincentian spirit carried over into many other places.  Over the years, Jean organized various benefits for families experiencing crisis. She coordinated many fund raisers at the City where she worked. She contributed to many fund raisers in the community. As a member of St Francis Xavier Church, Jean was a choir member and a reader.  Jean will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and abiding faith she shared with all.

Our Vincentian brother Dennis Edwards passed away November 30, 2022 following a brief illness. Dennis was a warm and kind friend who cared deeply for others. As a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Dennis delivered food, clothing, and other items to families in need. If there was work to be done on a project such as switching seasonal clothing in the free store, transporting food donations, or serving at an event, Dennis was there. Dennis cherished his family. As his obituary noted, he was a little league player, Vietnam veteran, Packer fan, enthusiastic volunteer, and man of strong faith. Dennis was simply a wonderful human being. He is greatly missed.
